■ Low-temperature preservation of biological samples


The types of low-temperature biological samples include blood products, stem cells, human germ cells, germplasm resources, tissue engineering materials, etc. Except for blood products and stem cells, the storage temperature is -196℃. Biological sample database-related industrial equipment mainly includes low-temperature storage equipment, sample process processing equipment, and a supporting information management system. According to statistics, the domestic sample library purchases an average of nearly 20,000 low-temperature storage containers for sample storage every year.

In close cooperation with scientific research institutes, Gao Xiang conducts research and development on ultra-low temperature refrigeration technologies such as biological sample preservation, drugs, and biological products freeze-drying, including automated control of low-temperature storage, low-temperature medical equipment, low-temperature medical instruments, etc., and is expected to be widely used in large and ultra-large biological sample banks shortly.

■ Freeze-drying technology for food, medicine, and biological products

 

Freeze-drying, referred to as freeze-drying, is to freeze the water-containing substance into a solid state, and then sublimate the water from the solid state into a gas state to remove the water and preserve the substance. Freeze-dried materials can be stored at room temperature, and the performance is stable, and the loss of nutrients is small.

Main application areas: freeze-dried drugs and biological products, such as antimicrobials, drylenes, vaccines, etc. Freeze-dried food, such as vegetables, fruits, fish and meat;

The output of freeze-dried food and medicine is increasing by 30% every year. At present, domestic freeze-drying machines are non-standard products, and the factories are imitation foreign equipment.

■ Low-temperature grinding engineering technology

 

Ultra-low-temperature technology is applied to some special crushing fields in medicine, food, and other industries. Some items that are not easy to crush at room temperature are used to change their structural characteristics through ultra-low-temperature technology to achieve the purpose of crushing more easily.

The key technology of the project is to ensure the low-temperature constant state and the dry state of the crushed material during the crushing process (a lot of heat generated during the crushing process will be combined with low temperature and cold air to form a high humidity environment).

The company has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Fengli Crushing Equipment Co., LTD., which has advanced technology and products in the field of crushing, to carry out technical cooperation in ultra-low temperature and crushing, and jointly build domestic ultra-low temperature crushing engineering production, learning and research base.

Ultra-low temperature deep processing cold chain technology containing Marine organisms


Marine life is extremely diverse, and different Marine life processing and refrigeration have different temperature and environmental requirements. The main determinant of its preservation is temperature.

Some specific Marine organisms use liquid nitrogen freezing technology, but liquid nitrogen is too limited in application due to high cost and poor convenience.


Gao Xiang is cooperating with Zhejiang Zhoufu Food Co., LTD., an enterprise of Marine food products, and Daishan to research and develop Marine biological ultra-low temperature deep processing cold chain complete equipment technology and vacuum cooler and other equipment for specific temperatures and environments, to replace conventional liquid nitrogen refrigeration. To ensure a qualified and constant low-temperature environment for the processing and preservation of Marine food.

Substitution of refrigerant and green refrigerant technology

 

The refrigeration cycle working medium is the blood of the refrigeration heat pump device, which plays a vital role in the whole system. The Montreal Protocol requires the complete phase-out of hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs), which have a strong greenhouse effect and damage the atmospheric ozone layer, by 2030. At present, China has eliminated the ozone layer-destroying substances (ODS) CFCS and entered the schedule of phasing out HCFCS (mainly R22) year by year.


Gao Xiang is conducting replacement research for carbon dioxide (R744, CO2). Carbon dioxide is a natural refrigerant with an ODP of 0 and a GWP of 1. It is safe, non-toxic, non-combustible, and has a low critical temperature, making it an ideal alternative for green refrigeration. However, the key technology of the CO2 cross-critical cycle is that the pressure of compressors, expanders, valves, and heat exchangers is greatly increased, which puts forward high requirements for the strength, wear resistance, processing accuracy, and reliability of materials. It is of great significance to carry out the research and development of green refrigerant CO2 to replace the traditional HCFCS cold chain equipment technology upgrade. If the development is successful, the CO2 trans-critical cycle is expected to form a system industry in 3 to 5 years and be applied to equipment related to refrigeration and air conditioning.
